Valhalla Amenities & Recreation
Residents of Valhalla have easy access to one of the city's most beloved recreation spots—the Boulder Reservoir. With 300 yards of sand on-site, the reservoir has one of the largest beaches in the state. There are trails for hiking and biking, picnicking spots, as well an expansive sandy beach area for sunbathing and castle building. The reservoir is popular for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and water skiing, while the shore has everything from boat rentals to a food concession.
Also close by is Central Park, which has an old-fashioned railroad car, a large grassy area, lots of mature trees, and part of the Boulder Creek Path. This is a perfect place for lounging or enjoying live music coming from the Glen Huntington Bandshell. The park is also a good spot for dipping your feet into the Boulder Creek on a summer's day. Next to Central Park is the ever-popular Boulder Farmers' Market, and across the street is the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art.
