“Lifefullness” in Boulder County

After a week off from RE/MAX of Boulder Radio, Duane Duggan makes a triumphant return from his knee surgery to host David Sinkey with Boulder Creek Property Builders. David, a second generation Boulder area builder, sat down with us and told us everything we need to know about the new constructions and communities being built around Boulder County.

Boulder Creek Property Builders was started in 2006 and included many of the same people as its predecessor company, started by David’s father in the late 1970s.  Despite the downturn that occurred shortly after, the company has been thriving by catering to the active adult demographic.  With new construction gaining popularity, they are now finding that a shortage of labor is hampering their ability to fill the demand. Even so, Boulder Creek has been expanding their geographic footprint greatly with communities now as far as Loveland and Castle Rock.  Closer to home, in Boulder County they offer communities in Louisville, Longmont, Erie, and Superior.

Location is not the only thing new about these communities.  David introduced us to the company’s new concept design, the “easy house”.  This product was designed with the empty nesters/baby boomer generation in mind but goes above and beyond the regular ranch style home.  These homes have many little features, like higher outlets and wider doors, meant to cater to a cross generational household. The “easy house” includes a second junior suite with a bathroom on the main floor to accommodate at least two parties living in the house while still allowing for entertainment.

These little features and innovative designs are part of Boulder Creek’s idea of life balance and creating a home around your life style.  This concept, David explained, is what they like to call “Lifefullness”; a word the company made up to describe how they “build a home to enable a lifestyle.”  Boulder Creek Property Builders are dedicated to building dream homes and communities.  They have a very “clean production” build style David said but after the house is built the “fun part” begins and they offer an enticing variety of ways to personalize the home.
