Westminster, Colorado

Located midway between Denver and Boulder, Westminster is ideally situated as an exceptional place to live, work, and play. Westminster is one of the “Hottest Towns” in the nation, according to Money Magazine. Awarded the International Livable Communities Award, the city is one of the most digital-savvy, cutting-edge communities in the country, recognized for its extensive use of information technology. 

The town lies in the heart of the Tech Corridor along U.S. 36 connecting Denver and Boulder. The location offers businesses Boulder’s extraordinary intellectual capital and Denver’s vast millennial workforce. 

Residents enjoy a mix of national retail chains, local boutiques, a charming historical center, and many choices for dining and entertainment. Outdoor activities are equally ample, with more than 3,000 acres of open space, 145 trails, 60 parks, five golf courses, and six recreation centers.

Its many transportation options include Interstate 25, U.S. Highways 36 and 287, several state highways, and the Regional Transportation District provides bus service, including Flatiron Flyer express routes to Boulder and downtown Denver. 

For more than a decade, the seventh most populous city in Colorado has earned top-25 rankings for best places to live in the United States, reports BizWest.

Westminster boasts 26 business parks, 68 retail centers, and over 16 million square feet of commercial space equipped with high-tech and high-speed telecommunication infrastructure, Westminster has real estate options to meet almost every business need.

Top employers in the city include Ball Corp., Alliance Data Systems, St. Anthony North Hospital, Maxar/DigitalGlobe, and Trimble Navigation, according to BizWest Economic Profile & Market Facts. 

The city plans to redevelop the former Westminster Mall site into a new downtown for Westminster, including multi-story office and residential buildings, public spaces, and shopping areas with Smart City services.

Westminster’s communities include a variety of housing and neighborhoods, from apartments, condos, townhomes, and single-family started homes to luxury estates in a range of prices. New urbanism and mixed-use neighborhoods abound, and many Westminster neighborhoods are nestled in and around parks, golf courses, and open space, according to the City of Westminster’s Economic Development department.

The area’s central location and enticing amenities resulted in rising home prices along with the rest of the Front Range. Even so, the city has experienced a massive influx of retirees.
